Prescriptions
Prescription writing is fully integrated allowing for automatic drug interaction, drug dosing, allergy and diagnosis contraindication checks. The prescription writer maintains a thorough history of current and past medications while creating frequently used individual or group medication templates. Print or electronically transmit prescriptions directly to the patient's pharmacy with a physician password protected signature. Track prescription refill history and make the refill directly from the Fax Management module.

Paperless Office
Manage paper documents using IMS's built in fax management, scan module, and form filler.
   Fax Manager - allows user to receive, distribute and respond to all faxes electronically.

Authorization/Referral Tracking
Billing for a patient encounter is dependant on obtaining proper Authorization and Referral information. IMS Authorization and Referral Tracking ensures that every patient encounter is pre-validated so no encounter goes unbilled. The front office staff is reminded to verify authorizations upon check-in prior to patient seeing the doctor. A fax can be automatically sent to insurance companies for authorizations using the Letter Writer feature. Physicians can be auto-reminded to request authorizations/referrals upon entering specific CPTs during an examination. Practices using the Healthcare Portal, patients can be reminded at home to obtain all necessary authorization or referral information before coming to the office.

Lab & Diagnostic Order Tracking
The Lab Orders and Tracking module helps your office track the various labs that physicians order during a patient visit. Using the bi-directional HL-7 interface for Quest Diagnostics the Physicians can send labs electronically and receive results electronically. This bi-directional interface eliminates printing and faxing of lab request. For most other lab and diagnostic companies at this immediate time, IMS can receive lab results, however a paper requisition must be electronically faxed to the lab/diagnostic company or printed and handed to the patient upon check-out. The important factor here is the lab and diagnostic companies must have HL-7 interface capabilities.

Health Maintenance Alerts
The IMS Maintenance Reminders help clinicians enhance patient care by assuring timely completion of appropriate tests, immunizations, exams, screenings, and education. Health Reminders alerts prompt providers at the time of a patient encounter, or as a task in the staff's reminder list as they call patients requiring visits and when scheduling appointments, also again when checking in the patient. Customizable by each practice, Health Reminders can be set using a combination of factors including procedures performed, patient's diagnosis, previous encounters within a certain timeframe, patient's medications, lab tests, diagnostic tests, specific patient medications, patient gender, and patient age. Patient's are reminded to follow-up for important vists which they may otherwise forget.

Task/Alerts/Reminders
Take control over critical follow-up tasks, with My Task, a viewing tool that presents outstanding tasks that need to be completed - whether waiting for Lab Results, patient refill request authorizations, or unsigned Visit Notes. My Tasks offers far more control over many critical follow-up tasks present in every care delivery environment, going far further than the simple elimination of sticky pads and small note pads in your office. My Task can be defaulted to open immediately when providers logon to IMS system.

Practice Management Reporting
Reports are a cornerstone of practice maintenance, management, overview, and financial status. With IMS Reports you have over 100 report options. Office administrators are empowered with easily generated summaries or detailed overviews of every aspect of the medical office operation.
